City nodes are the “last mile” of global networks: where relationships, places and executions occur.
The national master node draws an overall map of a country's relations, and the city node is responsible for the weekly cadence: offline roadshows, founders' breakfast meetings, LP small dinners, hackathons and regulatory sandbox docking - translating protocol layer collaboration into local trust and schedules.
What are the region/city nodes?
City or regional nodes map the abstract global collaboration of WCN to concrete city clusters: e.g. Shenzhen-Hong Kong twin cities, Dubai-Riyadh corridor, Berlin encryption cluster. Its KPIs usually include verifiable local events, stage advancement of introduced projects and number of local capital/service connections, rather than online fan growth.
Without city nodes, the network would easily remain stuck in cross-border Zoom and group emailing; PoB would also lack auxiliary evidence such as offline minutes, check-ins, and contract signing places.
The role of region/city nodes
Comparison with TradFi: The value of investment banking city offices lies in "relationship radius" and "immediate response", rather than the brand listing itself. The same applies to WCN city nodes - seats are sustainable only if they are linked to local GMV and number of closed loops.
